Neymar will return to the pitch for the first time since his ACL injury today.
Neymar is set to make his return to the pitch after a one year injury spell.
The 32 year old Brazil forward has not played since after sustaining an Anterior Ligament (ACL) injury during an international duty with the Brazilian side in a CONMEBOL qualifier against Uruguay in October 2023. He underwent surgery in November.
The Brazilian forward had only managed to feature in 5 games for Al Hilal, after his move from PSG to the Saudi Arabian Side in August, 2023. He also missed the 2024 Copa America campaign with Brazil while battling to recover from injury.
The club was happy to have him back as they announced he will be traveling with the squad for the away trip with Al Ain.
Neymar’s’ contract runs until August 2025, this mean he is eligible to play in the AFC Champions League Elite matches as the continental competition has no restrictions on the number of foreign players allowed.
His complete return from injury could see the Brazilian star feature round two of South America World Cup qualifiers scheduled for November.
