Neymar finally returns

Neymar returns to professional football first time over a year after a serious injury.

The 32 year old Brazilian winger made his return to the pitch today after a long injury. He was subbed on in the 77th min as his side Al Hilal defeat the reigning champions of the Asian Champions League Al Ain 4:5 to go top of the Asian Champions league group with 9 points from three wins.

Match Review

The visiting team dorminated after having the home team’s first goal ruled out in the 19th mins. The first goal of the game came from Renan Lodi in the 26th min.

Then later in the 39th min, Soufiane Rahimi equalized for Al Ain. Just with 5 mins to the end of the first half, the visitors scored  two in 3 mins. Milinkovic-Savi in the 45+2 mins and Salem Al Dawsari in the 45+5 min respectively.

The substitution from the home team in the second half yield results in the 63rd min as Mateo Sanabria pulled one back for Al Ain just 4 mins after he was subbed on. Al Hilal didn’t take long before they replied in the 65th as Salem Al Dawsari gave the visitors an extended 2:4 lead.

Al Ain didn’t take long to come back into the game after Soufiane Rahimi scored his second goal of the game in the 67th min. Salem Al Dawsari changed the score line to 3:5 after his hat-trick in the 75th min.

The game was all settled before a handball from Ali Albulayhi led to a penalty as he was sent off in the 82th mins. Soufiane Rahimi converted once again from the penalty spot, closing the score line to 4:5. It was all pressure for Al Hilal, as Al Ain kept pressing with dangerous attacks. But at the end, the visitors managed to get third win in three matches.

It was though a tough win for Al Hilal.
