Arsenal will not appeal Saliba’s red card

Gunners have confirmed they will not pursue an appeal against William Saliba’s red card following their premier league defeat to Bournemouth last weekend.

The club as refused appealing Saliba’s red card in their last game  and focus on regrouping as they prepare for upcoming fixtures this season. This means he will miss their next game against Liverpool.

Saliba’s was sent off for a last man foul on Bournemouth striker Evanilson as he tried to cover Trossard back pass. He was on the halfway line when he brought down Evanilson in the middle of the pitch.

Rob jones has initially issued him a yellow card for the offence before replacing it will red after monitoring the reviews on VAR decision.

They lost the game 2:0. It was their first defeat of the season. Saliba’s card is the third red card in eight games so far this season for the Gunners with Declan Rice sent against Brighton and Trossard against Manchester City.
